JLC Early Years Consultancy is led and managed by me, Jo Caswell, BA (Hons) Early Childhood, NNEB. I am a former senior manager for Ofsted, where I led a team of almost 90 early years inspectors.
I have a passion for excellence in early years and almost 30 years’ experience in the field. I have managed day nurseries and out of school provision and worked as both a nursery and Reception class teacher. I have also worked as an early years advisor for a local authority, and as an inspector with Ofsted for 19 years.
I was promoted to one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors (HMI) Early Years for the last nine years I worked with Ofsted. As part of this role, my main responsibility was to drive improvement in early years settings across the south east of England. .
